This event is virtually engages groups and individuals in their own neighborhoods. You determine where your group will walk throughout the month and how far! Record a video on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and let us know where you are walking and what you are doing (and don’t forget to challenge friends to walk during your video!) #worldwidewalkforwater
By 2050, 40% of the global population will face water scarcity.
Over 2,000 people die every day from unclean water and thousands are walking an average of 4 miles a day to fetch water. Access to clean water not only saves lives, but keeps women and children in school and off a lifetime path of collecting water.
Funds raised will go directly to CLEAN International’s programs dedicated to the eradication of waterborne illness and an end to the daily walk for water worldwide. CLEAN International protect water through tree planting and water conservation projects and provides Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) education, water filters, treatments plants, complete systems, toilets, hygiene stations and more to communities in need around the world.
